Chief of IMEU, VACANT

The Office of Incident Management and Enforcement is committed to protect individuals from harm and to enhance the care and habilitation supports and services provided to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, the Incident Management and Enforcement Unit (IMEU) identifies, reports, investigates and enforces recommended remedial actions for serious reportable incidents, including deaths, and reportable incidents involving individuals receiving supports and services from the Department on Disability Services, and its employees, contractors providing services under human care agreements or other contractual arrangements, or other agencies providing services under Medicaid provider agreements.  The purpose of these incident management and enforcement functions for individual serious reportable incidents and other reportable incidents involving persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities is to identify factors that may have contributed to the incident, to recommend necessary preventive measures, and to use this information on an individual and aggregate basis to improve care and habilitation supports and services for all persons in the system.
